TURNITIN è un software antiplagio che consente la verifica dell’originalità di un documento o di un elaborato allo scopo di garantire e tutelare l’effettiva qualità e autenticità del contenuto.
Il software verifica eventuali similitudini fra il contenuto analizzato e le banche dati di riferimento (documenti pubblicati su web e banche dati scientifiche) in modo da individuare la presenza di contenuti e testi non originali, producendo un report e mostrando nei risultati le fonti informative e la percentuale di eventuali similitudini dell’elaborato sottoposto a verifica. La legenda sottostante mostra la percentuale di contenuto plagiato, o simile, all’interno dell’elaborato.

Il servizio è rivolto a Docenti, Dottorandi, Assegnisti, Studenti (che devono essere abilitati dai Docenti) persegue le seguenti finalità:

• migliorare la qualità degli elaborati, garantendo una maggiore originalità
• agevolare i docenti nell’attività di controllo degli elaborati
• diminuire l’utilizzo di contenuto improprio negli elaborati
• verificare autonomamente la corretta citazione delle fonti
• prevenire criticità rispetto a casi di plagio

TURNITIN is an antiplagiarism software that allows you to verify the originality of a document or paper in order to guarantee and protect the actual quality and authenticity of the content.

The software checks for any similarities between the analyzed content and reference databases (documents published on the web and scientific databases) to identify the presence of non-original texts and content. It produces a report showing the information sources and the percentage of any similarities found in the submitted paper. The legend below shows the percentage of plagiarized, or similar, content within the paper.

The service is aimed at Professors, PhD Students, Research Fellows, and Students (who must be authorized by their Professors) and pursues the following goals:

• Improve the quality of papers by ensuring greater originality

• Assist professors in the process of checking papers

• Reduce the use of improper content in papers

• Independently verify the correct citation of sources

• Prevent critical issues related to cases of plagiarism
